ACUTE CARE

 At Fayette Veterinary Hospital, our priority is to provide thoughtful, high-quality medical care while supporting the well-being of our veterinary team.

To do this, we are transitioning from an unlimited walk-in model to curbside same-day reservations with a daily patient limit for acute concerns. This allows our doctors and staff to give each patient the time, attention, and care they deserve.

NOTE: Acute/Same-Day care if for existing clients only, new clients will need to call ahead for acute issues

How same-day care works:

• Curbside same-day reservations (CSDRs) may be booked online, by phone, or in person
   

• We see a set number of same-day/acute patients per day
   

• The daily limit applies equally to walk-ins, phone calls, and online bookings
   

Emergency Care:
If our same-day appointment limit has been reached, pets with urgent or emergency medical needs may still be seen at the doctor’s discretion.

Please note:

• Emergency visits may incur an additional fee of $75–$150, depending on the timing and severity of the emergency
   

• This fee reflects the additional staff, time, and resources required to provide immediate, unscheduled care
   

This structure helps us maintain patient safety, medical quality, and a sustainable workload for our team.
